Identification

Abstract

This dataset presents the piezometry of the aquifers formations included in the sands and gravels of Portneuf area, extending from 71ˮ30 to 72ˮ30. The dataset was created from 226 groundwater levels measured during two field campaigns (summer 1995 and 1996) and 177 other measures from different database. The water table elevation values vary between St. Lawrence River elevations up to 210 m.

The dataset was built according to the file piezo_grid2.grd from the archives folder of the Portneuf project. The data concerning the groundwater elevation comes from band 4 of the raster image that was converted to an ASCII format with ArcGIS.
