Identification

Abstract

This dataset presents the results of physico-chemical analysis of the groundwater in the Mirabel area. The study area located northwest of Montreal, includes four regional county municipalities: Argenteuil, Deux-Montagnes, Mirabel and Therese-De-Blainville. The analysis results show that the geology seems to be a determining factor in the case of the following parameters: pH, sulphate, manganese, iron, barium, sulphide, total hardness, and fluoride.

Three tables were created using the original Excel file: Groundwater composition table; analyte table - geochemical and analyte table - physical properties. Information regarding measurements unit were found in the newsletter "Inventaire canadien des ressources en eau souterraine: Caractérisation hydrogéologique régionale et intégrée du système aquifère fracturé du sud-ouest du Québec" produced by the Geological Survey of Canada.
