Abstract

This map shows the distribution of the groundwater levels measured on the field in the Milk River Transboundary Aquifer region. The aquifer is bounded by the edge of the Disturbed Belt on the west, by the Cypress Hills on the northeast and the Bears Paw Mountains on the southeast. The dataset exhibits a total of 40 water levels data measurements (2006 - 2014) collected during the MiRTAP fieldwork, or obtained from the public databases. The highest groundwater levels (1280 - 1220 m) are located in the Sweet Grass Hills and in the area of Cut Bank. The lowest groundwater level (780 m) is found near Havre.
