Identification

Abstract

This dataset shows the water wells in the Mirabel area. The study area located northwest of Montreal, includes four regional county municipalities: Argenteuil, Deux-Montagnes, Mirabel and Therese-De-Blainville. The dataset includes 505 water wells visited during fieldwork campaigns in summer 1999 and 2000, and 143 water wells are from the Hydrogeological Information System (HIS).

Sources

The dataset comes from the data base nmgimsconverti.mdb included in the AFSOQ project archives folder. The table tblpuit (NOMPUIT, PUIT_DATE and PROF) was used for the name, drill date and depth of the wells. Coordinates (x,y) and elevation are from table tblloc (X, Y, ASLALT). Wells yield (well_yield) data is from table tblPompage it represents yield during pumping tests. Yield expressed in litre/minute were converted to litre/seconde. Data sources were extracted from the field SRCID of table tblpuit and combine in table tblSRC.
