Abstract

This dataset presents the water usage for the Richelieu project. The study area includes the contiguous watersheds of Yamaska and Richelieu rivers, and the Missisquoi Bay. The water usage was estimated for 3 uses: residential, agricultural and industrial/commercial/institutional. The water usage estimation was realised from population, agricultural or industrial data, which were multiplied by the daily mean consummation. The results show that the main water source is the surface water, designating 92.6% of the supply. The industrial/ commercial/institutional is the sector consuming the biggest. The consummation for this sector is respectively 4 and 22 times higher than the domestic and agricultural supply.
