The dataset Bedrock Geology (MRD126-REV1.zip) was downloaded from the site (http://www.mndm.gov.on.ca/en/mines-and-minerals/applications/ogsearth). The file geopoly.shp was removed from the dataset using ArcGIS to keep only the data referring to the Credit River Watershed (limites_credit_river.shp). Bedrock geological units were assigned a lithologic class based on the dominant composition was possible, with the understanding that some units are too complex to be assigned a single lithologic class, in order to render the map in a uniform national map. The original classification of the unit is still available in the dataset, along with a link to the Lexicon of Canadian Geologic Units (http://weblex.nrcan.gc.ca/). The GeoSciML / IUGS lithological classification has been used as a standard earth material vocabulary (http://resource.geosciml.org/).
