Identification

Abstract

This dataset shows the elevation in meters above sea level of the piezometric surface of the Mirabel rock aquifer. The study area located northwest of Montreal, includes four regional county municipalities: Argenteuil, Deux-Montagnes, Mirabel and Therese-De-Blainville. The piezometry was traced from 505 groundwater levels measured during fieldwork campaigns (summer 1999 and 2000), 143 data from the Hydrogeological Information System (HIS) and 450 values were interpolated using kriging. The result shows that the general direction of groundwater flow is from Laurentidian, Oka or St. Andre Hills to Ottawa River and Mille Îles River.
